On Monday Mitch McConnell, the Republican leader criticized the Georgia Republican’s “loony lies and conspiracy theories” as “cancer” by reproaching Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene. On the lies produced by the party he commented, that somebody who suggests that perhaps no airplane hit the Pentagon on 9/11, that horrifying school shootings were pre-staged, and that the Clintons crashed JFK Jr.’s airplane is not living in reality. He rebuked Greene and said that this has nothing to do with the challenges facing American families or the robust debates on substance that can strengthen Republican party. In this statement there is no particular mention of the Republican House member Marjorie Taylor Greene but the indication is indirectly towards her.
In her reply to this terse comment Green posted on Twitter, “the real cancer for the Republican Party is weak Republicans who only know how to lose gracefully.” She blamed that this is why” we are losing our country”.
On Wednesday a video of Greene went viral where she confronted the Parkland shooting survivor David Hogg. The true intentions of Greene were revealed through a report found last week by CNN KFile. According to this report even before getting elected to Congress she had rendered her support for the execution of eminent Democratic politicians in 2018 and 2019.
In the past she has also passed comments with Islamophobic and anti-Semitic connotations. Her comments also have had elements of support for the controversial QAnon conspiracy theory. As a result of her past ventures she can be expelled from her committee assignments by the House Democrats very soon.
