Igor Litvak is a criminal defense attorney based in Brooklyn, New York.
Originally from Vorkuta in the former USSR, Igor Litvak immigrated to the United States when he was 14 years old. He went to the Baruch University, Zicklin School of Business in Manhattan, where he earned his Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration (BBA), majoring in Marketing Management and Political Science.
During his L.L.M. Trial Advocacy Program from the Beasley School of Law of Temple University, Mr. Litvak conducted multiple jury trials as well as took advance rules of evidence courses over the course of his academic year, which helped him hone his jury trial advocacy skills. He would later demonstrate his abilities as a lawyer in some of America’s most infamous cases.
He obtained his Juris Doctor (JD) degree from the Rutgers School of Law, Newark, New Jersey. He was the senior editor of Rutgers Computer and Technology Law Journal and the President of the Jewish Law Student Association. He also received the Eric R. Neisser Pro Bono Service Program Certificate.
After finishing his first year of law school, Mr. Litvak put his skills to use and interned at the Elizabeth Law Department of Elizabeth, New Jersey. The next year, he began his internship at the New Jersey Attorney General’s Office and aided in investigating major medical fraud cases. He has also worked as a law clerk for the Honorable Irene Jones and a clinical law student at the Community Law Clinic of Rutgers University.
In 2013, Mr. Litvak set up The Litvak Law Firm and his role in high-profile cases brought him to the fore. As a lead counsel or co-counsel in some of the most high-profile cases, Mr. Litvak has been featured in news stories, both in print and digital media, around the world. His performance under the spotlight earned him the respect of his peers and legal scholars alike.
He is admitted to the bars of New York and New Jersey and is admitted to practice in the US Eastern District Court of New York, the US Southern District Court of New York, the US District Court of New Jersey, Washington DC, and Connecticut.
