Since the days of Coronavirus began working from home has become a new normal. There have been many apps that are used to carry out the office meetings. But it is Zoom that has won the best place. However, Microsoft has rolled out a Free All-Day Video, Voice Calling Option feature that will offer stiff competition to Zoom.
Microsoft team has been working on a new feature that allows users to connect with up to 300 participants for as long as 24 hours. This announcement came right after Zoom announced that it would temporarily lift its 40-minute meeting limit on Thanksgiving Day.
Zoom can be a free video calling platform, but there are conditions to it. The free video call can only upto 40 minutes. But there are various packages you can sign up with if you want to regularly use it for your office meetings.
In addition to the 24-hour video calling feature, Microsoft is also working on a feature that will allow a group chat with up to 250 people and see up to 49 members simultaneously during virtual conversations. Microsoft also shared that to use the features; one does not require a Microsoft Account or the Teams app.
It works similar to the Zoom and Google Meet app, where the host can share the meeting link with users, and people can attend the online meet. Microsoft wants to attract Zoom users.
So it developed a new feature called the Together Mode feature for its virtual meets. This feature offers a gallery view, making the meeting less fatiguing. It was introduced in June this year.
