The Desktop App of Microsoft takes a lot of space and that is a huge issue. Recently one of the users shared this problem and then the team announced that it will be working on reducing the CPU usages and RAM of the app. It is not the app that the Microsoft team is working on. There are tons of issues they are fixing. Currently, the Microsoft team is focused on a lot of improvements. The team has hinted that it is also working on an offline auto send option and the ability to include up to 10,000 users in an organization-wide team.
But the top issue remains the desktop app consuming a lot of space. Microsoft did not disclose how it will be fixing the issue but it is working on it. It may take some time to fix and improve things.
In a report by WindowsLatest, the issue of the Microsoft app was first mentioned by users. There are issues with storage configurations, and that sometimes lags on devices with HDD. Many users have been complaining about the performance issues of the app on the Microsoft Teams forum.
Whenever users use a device with low storage the app causes problems. The main issue is the app takes a lot of RAM even when not being used to its full capacity. Microsoft is working on fixing this. Moreover, other updates are coming soon as well.
The new updates include the Teams Message that will include the auto-send option and Microsoft is also working on expanding so that large team organizations can work with the app.
